Sunset Wood COVID-19 Update 4-26-2020
Dear Tenants, April 26, 2020
As some of you may have heard on the news, the federal government has passed another coronavirus relief bill in order to help small, medium, and large businesses. This bill is a little different than what we have seen in the past because there is no stimulus for individuals, so there will not be a second round of stimulus checks being sent out.
On a state level, today’s briefings have been regarding the regional “re-opening” of businesses in our state. Unfortunately, the plan calls for an extremely slow rollout of businesses becoming open. Each region has to prove that they have seen a decline in positive cases for 14-days straight before even applying to re-open on May 15th. Then, there will be phases for opening, with Phase I being the only one which is specific to construction and manufacturing. The state has not yet determined what businesses Phase II will include but we can hope it will open some quality of life businesses.
What we can be sure of, is the fact that things will not just go back to “normal” all at once. This will be a long, slow process that the state will guide us on. Keep in-mind that Sunset Wood is not creating this plan, it is the State and Local governments who will provide us with guidance on how to go about this process. Be sure that I will let you all know once I get more information in the coming weeks.
Stay safe & healthy,
