Sunset Wood COVID-19 Update 4-27-2020

Dear Tenants,                                                          April 27, 2020

Although we are seeing numbers on the decline in downstate New York, the same was not necessarily true for Oneida County over the weekend. Here are some of the numbers straight from the Oneida County Health Department as of April 26, 2020:

• 20 new positive cases, 373 total.

• Positive fatalities, 14 total.

• Out of the positive cases:

o 27 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County.

o 3 are admitted outside of Oneida County.

• 221 active positive cases

• 138 positive cases have been resolved.

• 615 under mandatory quarantine.

• 457 under precautionary quarantine.

Although we are all chomping at the bit to get out and back to “normal,” we are still in a dangerous position as a society. The virus is still spreading throughout the county and remaining safe will get us through this as a community.

In state news, the New York State has cancelled the presidential primary scheduled for June 23. I am unsure as to what will happen regarding local elections, but will be sure to inform you once I know more.

Stay safe & healthy,
