Dear Tenants, May 19, 2020
There was some good news presented today regarding the fact that NYS is working with the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) and the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) to implement a 2-week pilot program in 16 hospitals across the state to allow increased visitations for family members and loved ones. As a part of the pilot, visits are time-limited and visitors are provided and must wear PPE and are subject to symptom and temperature checks.
Although this doesn’t sound like much, the move toward even attempting to allow visitors in hospitals is a HUGE shift in perspective of how we can now control the spread of this virus with the use of policies, procedures and of course PPE. The pilot program is one step closer to our society as a whole getting back to a new normal and putting our lives at ease just a little bit.
This week is going to be absolutely beautiful so I urge all of you to continue getting outside for fresh air and some sunshine because it is scientifically proven to improve your mood, immune system, and dopamine levels (aka make you happier)!
Stay safe & healthy,
