NEW HARTFORD, NY - The Community at Sunset Wood proudly announces that Rev. Carol D. Jubenville, Executive Director, was appointed to the Retirement Housing Cabinet of LeadingAge New York. The cabinet is responsible for planning the programming and public policy agendas for their representative service lines and will zero in on the issues its members feel are most pressing.
"It is a great honor for me to be appointed to LeadingAge's Retirement Housing Cabinet," said Rev. Jubenville. "My goal is to identify, promote and enhance housing options with concierge services into the next generation of seniors also known as baby boomers. As a Congressional Delegate to the White House Office on Aging in 2005, I know that we need to work together in our communities and with our policy makers to offer affordable options for independent living opportunities while aging in place."
Founded in 1961, LeadingAge New York represents not-for-profit, mission-driven and public continuing care providers, including senior housing, nursing homes, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and community service providers. LeadingAge New York's more than 600 members employ 150,000 professionals serving more than 500,000 New Yorkers annually.
